Painting has been the largest part of my life's journey, next to raising a family with my husband. Over the past thirty plus years, this creative endeavor has evolved to become at the same time the greatest source and the greatest product of my daily energy. At a time in life when others might be thinking more about retiring and slowing down, I feel so lucky to be as inspired as ever to build on what I've done so far. There are few other paths in life that allow for such continual growth.
This new body of work represents my current focus on abstract expressionism. Acrylic paint allows me the freedom to build the painting layer by layer, changing the composition at will, and letting the paint lead me to the finish. Nature is my inspirations for most of my paintings, and the figurative work is purely from my imagination.
