Painting has been the largest part of my life's journey, next to raising a family with my husband. Over the past thirty plus years, this creative endeavor has evolved to become at the same time the greatest source and the greatest product of my daily energy. At a time in life when others might be thinking more about retiring and slowing down, I feel so lucky to be as inspired as ever to build on what I've done so far. There are few other paths in life that allow for such continual growth. Recent works have been inspired by my travels. The black waters of Upper Peninsula Michigan, colorful rocks from Lake Superior, and Monet's gardens in Giverney, France, are a few examples.
I had an early inclination to pursue art, and art has allowed me to define myself to the world ever since. As is probably the case for most artists, some of my greatest satisfaction comes when others are moved by a painting that I have created. It has been an honor to share my work with the people who have been so appreciative and encouraging over the years. As you view my paintings, I hope that you feel a positive expression of bold colors overlaid with pleasing composition. With each piece, my goal is always to awaken a new sense for beauty that did not yet exist for you before you saw it.
